The Fitness KISS method – Keep it Simple Silly!
There is so much written and displayed on social media regarding fitness, fat loss and muscle gains. It’s no wonder we can easily get confused. Don’t over complicate it. Keep it simple and follow some basic concepts!
Cardio is for building your lungs, strengthening your heart, and improving your mental health.
Resistance training is for building muscle, strengthening bone density, and improving joint and tendon function!
Soreness isn’t the goal of training and isn’t necessary.
Soreness does occur when you do something new or getting back at if after a break.
Soreness can be a byproduct of hard work BUT isn’t necessary to get results.
No recovery days, poor nutrition and minimal sleep can also contribute to soreness.
In 1 year, you won’t care if you crushed a workout today.
In 1 year, you will care that you showed up.
Focus on being consistent – Fitness is a lifelong journey not a 30-day challenge.
If you prioritize your Training over Recovery and Nutrition....FLIP the Script and think RECOVERY first, Nutrition second and Training third. And if you want to flip Recovery and Nutrition, sure that’s OK. But remember you can’t out-train a bad diet!
